Abstract: Website of the Center for Afro-Asian Studies, an agency of the State University of Londrina, Brazil, created in 1985, in order to conduct studies and research related to non-hegemonic cultures, promoting education directed to issues regarding to these cultures, design and implement projects aimed at inclusion in the University and other sectors of groups historically discriminated against and support public policies aimed at overcoming the racial and social disparities. The focus of research is on Afro-Brazilian culture, history etc. Throughout its 26 years the NEAA has been serving the community through a set of actions: national and international seminars, like the SEDER, teacher (s) (over 5000), a gathering of students, production of materials teaching (books, CDs, handouts), symposia, support the policies of quotas for black students and poor, participation in events related to the topic and racial diversity. In 2011, "International Year of African descent," instituted by the United Nations, the NEAA with activity menu is limited to their areas of expertise working to develop its mission.
