Abstract: The catalogue contains bibliographical data about over 5,000 items, i.e. original, hand-written manuscripts or literature about manuscripts. The items are either in Arabic or in Ajami (Hausa, Fulfulde, Wolof) and come mainly from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Mali. The data were taken from four different collections and include topics like poetry (e.g. Hausa) , Arabic grammar, history, theology, Sufism, Tijâniyya Sufi, law, astronomy, numerology, medicine and healing.
