In March 1975, even before the formation of the CNDRS, there were first operations to collect and archive documents for a rising national archive at Mrodju. Today, the national archives are at Moroni, located at the buildings of the CNDRS. The public has access to riche collections and multiple documents, the eldest dated to the colonial era. The documents are taken from public or private organizations, jurists or normal people as well as from researchers working on humanities or social affairs.
