This project - Europe-Africa Quality Connect: Building Institutional Capacity through Partnership - intends to share the EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme’s (IEP) approach with five African universities in different regions of sub-Saharan Africa as a trial application. The idea of the IEP is not to impose new QA procedures on universities, but rather to provide a versatile tool for assessing their institutional goals and sharpening their missions. The evaluation report highlights the good practices identified by the team, but it also provides the University with recommendations for further improvement in order to achieve its mission and goals. The site offers evaluation reports on University Omar Bongo, Kenyatta University, University of Namibia, Ahmadu Bello University, and the Institute of Professional Studies; and one study on "Higher Education Quality Assurance in Sub-Saharan Africa". The project is being implemented by the European University Association (EUA) and the Association of African Universities (AAU) , in partnership with the University of Aveiro, Portugal, and the Irish University Quality Board (IUQB). ...
